About Andrea

Andrea Dogostiano, LCSW — therapist for women in New York & New Jersey.

You are the one who holds everything together — capable, dependable, thoughtful. Yet inside, you feel stretched thin. Maybe you're navigating postpartum changes and barely recognize yourself. Maybe the mental load never shuts off and partner support feels uneven. You find yourself overstimulated, resentful, or emotionally drained, then questioning why you can't just handle it better.

You want boundaries without guilt. Clarity instead of constant overwhelm. To feel steady in your body, confident in your voice, and connected to yourself again — instead of disappearing into everyone else's needs.

My approach

Untangling overwhelm. Rebuilding a grounded sense of self.

I specialize in Postpartum & Maternal Mental Health, Women's Issues, and Stress. I help women untangle overwhelm, lighten the mental load, and reconnect with a grounded sense of self. Together we build emotional regulation, clear boundaries, and practical coping tools that create lasting resilience, clarity, and confidence — beyond short-term relief.

If you are quietly carrying too much while everyone assumes you're fine, I see your strength and your exhaustion. You adapted to survive demanding seasons. You are not failing. Therapy with me is collaborative and steady, honoring your pace and your story. When you're ready to feel grounded, empowered, and fully yourself again, I invite you to reach out.

What I value

The way I show up in the room.

Compassion first

Therapy works when you feel safe enough to be honest. That comes first.

Grounded honesty

Warmth and real talk. I'll gently challenge you when it's time.

Whole-person care

We work with mind, body, lifestyle, relationships — not just symptoms.

Empowerment

You are the expert on you. I'm here to help you remember it.

What it's like to work with me

Real conversation. Practical tools. A pace that respects you.

1

Our first session is a thorough intake — your story, what's bringing you in, and what you'd like to feel different.

2

From there, we build a plan together. No cookie-cutter approach — we tailor it to your nervous system, schedule, and goals.

3

Sessions feel like a real conversation, with reflection, gentle challenge, and skills you can actually use between visits.

4

You'll never be a number. I keep my caseload intentionally small so every client gets focused care.
